“It feels good to work with the city and get this internship,” said Venenga. “I am excited to learn new things while I am there.”
海角社区 City Council approved the building department’s request for an intern on March 11. Venenga will be working with the building code administration. The internship provides interns, like Venenga, with knowledge and exposure to city building regulations showing them another opportunity within the construction career field.
“I firmly believe that exposing students to diverse career options is essential to their development,” said Troy Rupp, 海角社区 College carpentry instructor. “This exposure encourages students to explore alternative avenues beyond their comfort zone and fosters a deeper understanding of the industry and the multitude of career opportunities available.”
