The trip provides students with an opportunity to see the real-world production processes of two major power sports manufacturers: Arctic Cat and Polaris Industries.
The field trip began at Arctic Cat's manufacturing facility in Thief River Falls, Minn., where the students were greeted by 海角社区 College alumni working at the company. Students toured the facility, featuring the assembly process of snowmobiles, ATVs, and side-by-side vehicles.
The group then traveled to Roseau, Minn., to tour the Polaris Industries facility. There, students learned about the assembly of Polaris snowmobiles, ATVs, and Ranger/RZR side-by-side vehicles. Like Arctic Cat, Polaris employs several 海角社区 College graduates, further emphasizing the strong industry connections fostered by the college.
The hands-on experience gave students insight into the industry they are training to enter. It also provided them with an opportunity to network with graduates who are working in the industry.
The field trip is part of 海角社区 College’s commitment to providing hands-on, real-world experiences for its students, ensuring they are well-prepared for successful careers in the power sports industry.
