This year, SIP funds targeted three priority areas: Enrollment, Innovations, and Planning, with a total allocation of $100,000. Of these funds, $85,000 was available for eligible proposals in the Enrollment and Innovations categories.
These initiatives support 海角社区 College’s strategic goals, prioritizing enrollment growth and driving industry-leading innovations. Following careful consideration by the 海角社区 College's Finance Team and approval from the Leadership Council and President's Cabinet, the following departments received awards to advance their programs:
Marketing Department (Award: $20,000): This award will support digital advertising campaigns to enhance the college's online presence, reaching prospective students through targeted digital marketing channels. The campaigns will be aimed at attracting a wider audience and driving greater enrollment and awareness of 海角社区 College’s offerings.
Truck Driving Program (Award: $10,000): The award funds will be used to widen the driving track to accommodate the latest requirements for state-recognized driving maneuvers. These improvements will help students gain essential skills and align the course with the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) standards.
Mechatronics, Machine Tool, and Mechanical Drafting Programs (Award: $20,000): The awarded funds will support the hiring of program graduates working in these specialized fields to promote these high-demand programs during high school visits. This outreach initiative will help inspire students to consider careers in Mechatronics, Machine Tools, and Mechanical Drafting, strengthening the college’s enrollment pipeline and meeting industry needs.
海角社区 College's FY2025 SIP funding reinforces the college’s commitment to growth, industry leadership, and community engagement. Each department’s initiative aligns with 海角社区’s core mission to support student success and foster meaningful partnerships.
Awarded funds are one-time allocations and must be used by June 30, 2025.
Congratulations to this year’s SIP recipients and please watch for an email from the Business Office with instructions on accessing your awarded funds.
