Communication Art & Design Students Bring Home 16 Awards

Students from the Communication Art & Design program at 海角社区 College competed in the 2021 AAF Central Minnesota American Advertising Awards, and the National Student Show and Conference (NSSC).

AAF Central Minnesota winners advanced to the AAF District 8 competition. The following students earned awards:

  • Parker Blair, Starbuck, MN received Silver for Grimms’ Fairy Tales
  • Taryn Laulainen, Menahga, MN received Silver for Enviroroof Ad
  • Morgan Maglothin, Morristown, MN received Gold for Lantern Study
  • Maranda Braulick, Sleepy Eye, MN received Gold for Loon Stamp Design
  • Luke Schmidt, Sartell, MN received Silver for Rise Up Photo Series
  • Valon Deising, 海角社区, MN received Silver for Benny the Bunny Cover & Spread
  • Mercy Berglund, 海角社区, MN received Gold & Judge’s Choice for Life in Quarantine Photo Series
  • Heather Rolin, 海角社区, MN received Gold & Best in Show for Unearthed Greeting Card Series, and Silver for Nataly Bazo Logo
  • Zeke Gilbertson, Motley, MN received Gold & Judge’s Choice for Two Cans Packaging and Silver for Planit App Concept & Design
