Students from 海角社区 Technical and Community College competed in the 2025 SkillsUSA Minnesota State Championships and claimed 28 first place, 20 second place, and 16 third place spots with 19 students advancing to the national competition in Atlanta, Georgia, June 23-28, 2025.

The 2025 SkillsUSA Minnesota State Championships began March 28 in 海角社区, Minn., where 海角社区 College hosted the CNC Milling Specialist, CNC Programmer, CNC Turning Specialist, Marine Service Technology, Mechatronics, Motorcycle Service Technology, Precision Machining Technology, and Technical Drafting events. The competition continued at industry partner locations across the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metro area.

The SkillsUSA Minnesota State Championships is an annual event that brings together hundreds of careers and technical education students who compete in over 80 different trade, technical, and leadership fields. The competition recognizes career and technical education (CTE) students who excel in their occupational areas, and spotlights leadership development activities that are an integral part of the SkillsUSA program.

The philosophy of the competition is to reward students for excellence, to involve the industry in directly evaluating student performance, and to keep CTE training relevant to employers’ needs.
